1996 Mitsubishi Delica Space Gear Exceed Turbodiesel 4×4

This 1996 Mitsubishi Delica Space Gear Exceed is a high-roof long-wheelbase van that is powered by a 2.8-liter 4M40 turbodiesel inline-four mated to a four-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a locking center differential. The black and gray body has a front brush guard, yellow-lens fog lights, and a rear convex mirror, and the cabin houses two rows of configurable rear seats trimmed in patterned gray cloth. Additional equipment includes 15″ aftermarket wheels, automatic climate control, and a 10-disc CD changer. The van was imported to the US before the selling dealer’s acquisition in 2025, and it has 143k kilometers (~89k miles). This Delica is now offered by the selling dealer in New Jersey at no reserve with a Pennsylvania title.
The van is finished in black with gray lower bodywork. Details include a front brush guard, a hood scoop, yellow-lens fog lights, window visors, front mudguards, and a rear convex mirror. The selling dealer reports the hood, hood scoop, and lower cladding were repainted in March 2024. Inoperative power mirrors are noted, and flaws on the roof are visible.
Aftermarket 15″ wheels wear 205/70 Premiorri Vimero SUV tires that are said to have been mounted in March 2024, and a spare is stored on an under-chassis carrier.
The front bucket seats are upholstered in patterned gray cloth that extends to the door panels. Equipment includes power front windows, automatic climate control, a cassette stereo, and a 10-disc CD changer mounted under the front passenger seat.
The rear cabin houses swiveling and sliding second-row captain’s chairs and fold-away third-row seats.
A four-spoke steering wheel frames a 180-km/h speedometer flanked by a tachometer and supplementary gauges. The digital odometer indicates 143k kilometers (~89k miles).
The 2.8-liter 4M40 turbodiesel inline-four is equipped with a top-mount intercooler. The selling dealer reports an oil change was performed and the fuel injectors were replaced in June 2025 along with the fuel filter.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a locking center differential. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery.
The Pennsylvania title lists “out of country” and “originally manufactured for non-U.S. distribution” brands.
