This 1988 Mercedes-Benz 560SL is said to have a registration history with two owners, and it shows 27k miles. The car is finished in Arctic White over Royal Blue leather and is powered by a 5.5-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Features include a limited-slip differential, a dark blue soft top, a removable hardtop, silver-finished 15″ Gullideckel alloy wheels, fog lights, a Becker Grand Prix cassette stereo, electric windows, central locking, cruise control, and automatic climate control. Service performed in preparation for the sale by Wolfgang’s of Tenafly, New Jersey, included an inspection along with replacing a steering shock, the fuel filter, the exhaust hangers, and the transmission and engine mounts. This R107 is now offered on dealer consignment with the owner’s manual, service records, an inspection report, a clean Carfax report, and a New Jersey title.
The car is finished in Arctic White (147) with blue and red pinstripes and features a color-matched removable hardtop and a dark blue (744) convertible soft top. Additional exterior equipment includes quad headlights, fog lights, a power antenna, and chrome-accented bumpers and trim. The silver-finished 15″ Gullideckel alloy wheels are mounted with Pegasus Minos tires that show date codes from 2013. The car was factory-equipped with power steering, a fully independent suspension, and power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes. The steering shock was replaced in May 2025.
The cabin features two bucket seats upholstered in Royal Blue leather (272). Interior features include a Becker Grand Prix cassette stereo, an alarm system, electric windows, central locking, cruise control, and automatic climate control.
The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a 170-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, a clock, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel economy, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 27k miles.
The 5.5-liter V8 was factory-rated at 227 horsepower and 279 lb-ft of torque. The power steering pump and AC compressor were replaced in November 2022. The engine mounts, fuel filter, rear exhaust hangers, and engine oil were replaced in May 2025 by Wolfgang’s, and photos of the accompanying inspection report are provided in the gallery.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The transmission pan, gasket, and fluid were replaced in November 2022, and the transmission mount was replaced in preparation for the sale.
The Carfax report is free of accidents or other damage.
