This 1974 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 was imported to the US from Venezuela in 2020 and was refurbished and modified following the seller’s 2022 acquisition. It has been refinished in gray and fitted with a 4.5-liter 1FZ-FE inline-six that is linked with a five-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and 70-Series front and rear axles. Equipment includes a tan soft top and doors, a front brush guard, front and rear winches, rock sliders, black 17″ aftermarket wheels, power steering, front disc brakes, a lifted suspension, and dual fuel tanks. The interior features tan microsuede reclining bucket seats, a roll cage, a locking center console, an aftermarket stereo, and an air compressor with dual tanks. This FJ40 is offered with a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
The truck has been repainted gray and features a tan soft top with roll-up windows as well as removable tan soft doors. Other features include front and rear winches, rock sliders, an auxiliary fuel caddy, and a front brush guard with driving lights. The seller notes that the windshield and front and rear turn signals were replaced in 2023.
Black 17″ aftermarket wheels are mounted with 37×12.50″ Mickey Thompson Baja Boss tires. The truck is equipped with manually locking front hubs, power steering, and a lifted suspension. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The master cylinder was replaced and the fluid was flushed in 2023.
Ikon Motorsports G-Rocker reclining bucket seats are trimmed in tan microsuede and feature three-point seatbelts. A hi-lift jack is secured to the roll cage, and other appointments include an aftermarket stereo and speakers, an overhead console, a locking center console with cupholders, and an air compressor with dual tanks.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-km/h speedometer and gauges for oil pressure, fuel level, coolant temperature, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 74k kilometers (~46k miles), approximately 3k of which were added under current ownership.
A 4.5-liter 1FZ-FE inline-six is said to have been sourced from a 1995 FJ80 and installed in 2019. The seller says that service in 2023 involved flushing the coolant, changing the oil, and replacing the fuel tank and pump along with the carburetor, starter, alternator, and battery.
Power is routed to the rear or all four wheels through a five-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and front and rear axles from a 70-Series Land Cruiser. The fluids for the transmission, transfer case, and differentials were changed in 2023. The truck is equipped with dual fuel tanks.
