1969 Ford Mustang SportsRoof 302 for Charity

This 1969 Ford Mustang SportsRoof was ordered with a 302ci V8, a C-4 automatic, Candyapple Red paintwork, rocker trim, tinted windows, red upholstery, a Sport Deck rear seat, air conditioning, power steering, and an AM radio. The car remained with one owner for four decades before it was acquired by the selling dealer in 2025, and along the way Shelby-style wheel covers and a custom sound system were added, and the car has been repainted. The selling dealer describes the car as a running-and-driving project car that will require some mechanical and cosmetic repairs, and in preparation for the sale, the battery and fluids were replaced. This Mustang is now offered at no reserve in Texas with a Deluxe Marti Report, the owner’s manual, and a clean Oklahoma title. The total sale amount—including the BaT buyer’s fee—will be donated to Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital of Dallas, Texas, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that treats pediatric orthopedic conditions, sports injuries and fractures, as well as certain related arthritic and neurological disorders and learning disorders, such as dyslexia.
The car was specified in Candyapple Red and has been repainted twice. It has rocker moldings, dual mirrors, and dual exhaust outlets. There is bubbling at the bottom of the left door, a patch in the left-front floor, and corrosion in the rocker panels and rear quarters.
Shelby-style wheel covers were added to the 14″ steel wheels, which are mounted with white-letter BFGoodrich tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted drums at each corner.
It was specified with red vinyl upholstery, a Sport Deck rear seat, tinted glass, and air conditioning, though the selling dealer notes the latter requires service. The custom sound system has an Alpine head unit, a graphic equalizer, Coustic door speakers, and Kenwood rear speakers. The right door speaker cover is missing, and there is a tear in the left-front squab.
The steering wheel has an aftermarket wrap, and instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer along with coolant temperature, oil temperature, fuel level, and alternator charge gauges. The five-digit odometer indicates under 83k miles.
The 302ci V8 was factory rated at 220 horsepower. In preparation for the sale the battery and fluids were changed, and the underside was washed and steam-cleaned.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission.
An owner’s manual is included.
The Deluxe Marti Report lists colors, specifications, and production information. The title carries a “Classic” type notation.
Upon completion of the auction, the winning bidder will pay the selling dealer, who will donate the full sale amount to Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
