This 1967 Schwinn Sting-Ray Ram’s Horn Fastback bicycle is finished in black with white script and features a white glitter banana seat supported at the rear by a chrome sissy bar as well as a five-speed rear derailleur that is operated by an automotive-style Stik-Shift mounted to the top tube. The bike rides on 20″ wire-spoke wheels and is further equipped with a ram’s head chrome handlebar, a side stand, caliper brakes, and chrome fenders. This Sting-Ray bike is now offered at no reserve by the selling dealer in Seekonk, Massachusetts with a reproduction Captain Kangaroo Schwinn advertisement display.

This Schwinn Fastback was refinished under prior ownership in black with white script and pinstriping with a white sparkle banana seat that is supported at the rear by a chrome sissy bar. Additional features include Schwinn and Fastback badging, chrome fenders, a rear deflector, and a side stand. The selling dealer believes the banana seat and fenders have been replaced or refurbished under prior ownership.

The bike rides on chrome wire-spoke wheels measuring 20″ front and rear and Schwinn Tubular Rim Nylon tires. Braking is handled by rim-gripping caliper units, both of which are hand-lever-activated.

The chrome ram’s horn handlebar is wrapped in silver glow handlebar wrap and carries bright brake levers with glitter covers and grey-sleeved cables.

A Stik-Shift five-speed shifter is mounted along the top tube in-between the seat and the handlebar. The number 5 is showcased atop the shift knob, and its lever can be moved forward or backward to shift into a higher or lower gear.

Pedal power is sent to the rear wheel through a crank arm turning a MAG sprocket and a five-speed derailleur. The color-matched chain guard features Schwinn and Fastback script and a Ram’s Horn graphic.

The DC prefix of the serial number stamped on the right-rear dropout is consistent with an April 1967 production date.

The sale includes a reproduction cardboard freestanding Schwinn advertisement featuring actor Bob Keeshan as Captain Kangaroo. The Captain Kangaroo children’s television series ran from 1955 to 1984.
