1967 Ducati Monza 250

This 1967 Ducati Monza 250 was initially delivered to Ghost Motorcycle Sales of Port Washington, New York, and was purchased by the seller in 2024. Subsequent work involved boring and rebuilding the 248cc four-stroke single with replacement parts including the piston, camshaft, bearings, gaskets, seals, and valves. The bike was disassembled and the frame, swingarm, and chain guard were refinished in black, while the bodywork retains faded red and white paint. Equipment includes a five-speed transmission, 18″ wire-spoke wheels, a two-up seat, a steering damper, drum brakes, a center stand, and lights. This Monza 250 is now offered at no reserve with original sales paperwork, service manuals, spare parts, and transferable New York registration in the seller’s name.
The bike was disassembled under current ownership and the frame, swingarm, and chain guard were refinished in black, and the brake light wiring was replaced. The bodywork retains faded red and white paint, and features include a mirror, a center stand, a two-up seat, a headlight, and a taillight. Photos depicting corrosion on the bodywork can be viewed in the galley below.
Wire-spoke 18″ wheels are mounted with 2.75″ IRC front and Vee Rubber rear tires, both of which show 2021 production date codes. Suspension consists of a covered conventional fork as well as dual shocks mounted to the swingarm. The fork seals and steering head bearings were replaced under current ownership.
The handlebar rests between the control knob for a steering damper and a 100-mph Veglia speedometer mounted in the headlight bucket. The five-digit odometer shows 5,500 miles, approximately 100 of which have been ridden by the seller.
The 248cc four-stroke single was rebuilt in 2025 with work that involved boring the cylinder 1mm over, replacing the piston, fitting a mild Vee Two camshaft, resurfacing the rockers, and replacing the bearings, gaskets, seals, valves, springs, and guides. Additional work included rebuilding the carburetor, installing a high-flow oil pump, and replacing the fuel lines, petcocks, points, condenser, and alternator wiring. The oil was changed following a break-in period.
Power is sent to the rear wheel through a five-speed transmission and a drive chain. The chain and front sprocket were replaced under current ownership.
Spare fenders and a spare air box are included in the sale along with service manuals and original sales paperwork, photos of which are presented in the gallery below.
The vehicle is being sold on its New York registration, which serves as the ownership document in New York.
